If you are currently not satisfied with your password then you have the liberty of changing it anytime you want. Here’s how you change or reset your password;

• Open the Settings app on your smartphone.
• Then scroll till you find the “password and security” option on your screen, and click on it so that a new screen appears
• Click on the lock screen password option. 
• You can choose from the options that are available on your screen. Whatever you deem is the best option for you. The options that will be available are; alphanumeric, numeric, and pattern.
• Once you have chosen what mode your password is going to be, to change it, it will ask you to enter the password that was before the new one that you are creating. 
• Once you have entered the previous password, the system will allow you to change your password.
• It will ask you to enter the new password twice for confirmation. 
• Once the confirmation is done, you are good to go and your password has been reset.

As I have already mentioned earlier the safety of our data is our responsibility and to make sure nobody can have unauthorized access to the data on your phones it is essential that we build a strong password.

• The password should have at least ten characters, including special characters such as @,#,$,%,*,& and so many more.
• There should also be a mix of uppercase as well as lowercase in the password
• You can also throw in numbers to make it a little more complicated. 
• You should never use the same password for any two or more devices. It makes the hacker’s work easier. Once the hacker cracks one password it will automatically be easy for him to take control of the other device as well. 
• You must never write your passwords down anywhere, as the risk of it leaking will be more, and easier for the hacker to get that information.

A strong password in retrospect can be seen as the frontline soldier in a battle. It is a first-line defense mechanism built for your data’s safety. So, to avoid losing your data you must have password protection on your phone. Not only that but a strong password if you think about it will take the hacker, or whoever is trying to steal your data, longer to guess. Whereas, if you had a weak and very basic kind of password the work of the hacker has been reduced, his work is so much easier now, he can easily steal any data in your phone without wasting much time thinking about how to crack it.
