What is Web 3.0?

Web 3.0 is the 3rd generation of the internet. It is based on the blockchain system. Also, Web 3.0 is known as The Semantic web. Web 3.0 is the new internet. Web 2.0 was mostly controlled by Some big companies like Google, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, Amazon, WhatsApp Web, and Apple. But web 3.0 won’t control any social media or company. Web 1.0 was the ancient intent that was used in the 90s to 2004. It was the basic internet in which web pages were made by Html only. It was like a read-only service. Web 2.0 made some changes and Web (Three-point-O) changed it all. Previously No internet was secured, but the features are upgraded.

Changes came on the internet from web 1.0 to 3.0 

Now we will talk about what changes have come from the ancient internet the Web 1.0 to our latest internet Web 3.0

Web 1.0

Web 1.0 was the first generation of the internet. Also, Web 1.0 is known as the Early web. When this internet came only a few people knew about this internet. So, there were fewer users and fewer users at that time. In web 1.0 the web pages were HTML based. Web 1.0 websites were either hosted by ISPs (Internet Service Providers) or on free web servers. At that time this internet was only used in Computers because at that time using the internet on mobile phones or some other devices was not possible. So, we can say Web 1.0 was limited and was not popular among people.

Web 2.0

Web 2.0 is the 2nd generation of the internet. Also, Web 2.0 is known as Participative or Participatory web. There’s one more name for web 2.0 the social web. Web 2.0 brought us Facebook, Uber, Airbnb, and many more social services websites. There are three-layer of web 2.0 mobile, social, cloud. In 2007 apple launch the iPhone and it create chaos because now the users can access the internet on their mobile devices. We don’t have a buy a pc to use the internet we can access it on our mobile easily. Using the internet on a mobile phone was so easy in comparison to a pc. It increases the number of users and content creators on the internet. In web 1.0 users are using the internet for a few hours a day but in web 2.0 they are using the internet every time.

There are so many things on web 2.0 like the web browser, mobile apps, and notification (personal). There is so many social media web site like Facebook, Instagram, etc. These social media sites make chaos around the globe. With them, users can share photos with their friends easily. We can video call with our friends and relatives easily. In web 2.0 you can book any cab from your home without calling anyone or going anywhere, can book movie tickets online easily. Web 2.0 made the internet famous among everyone. Now everyone was using the internet from the government to schools and private industries, from the 60-year-old man to the 12-years-old kid. 

Web 2.0 introduced cloud computing. In this users can store their data on cloud memory.  You can play games without downloading with cloud computing. There were more things introduced in web 2.0 like Blogs, Podcasts, Tagging other users, social networking, feedback, etc. But a question arises that why is my upload speed so slow, below the best solution.

Web 3.0

Also, Web 3.0 is the third generation of the internet, known as The Semantic web. Web ( Three-point-O) is still under development. Web 3.0 is based on the blockchain system just like Bitcoin System. There are three layers of web 3.0 edge computing, data networks, and AI (Artificial Intelligence). Web 3.0 will make an environment where a user and a machine can interact with each other without the need of any 3rd party. It will provide more privacy to its users. On the web, 3.0 websites/software will collect users’ convey from voice, text, and other forms of media.

In web 2.0 the content was the same for all users but in web (3 point 0) the content of every website is different for different users. In web 3.0 users not only give feedback to someone but they can create their personal content too there and this user’s content will display to other users too based on their feedback. Web 3.0 also introduced Cryptocurrency. It is a digital currency that is used worldwide. The issue like why does my internet keep disconnecting and reconnecting, will not face in this version.
