Build Quality:

The build quality of the device, in a word, can be said as premium. The device comes with a full outer glass built along on an Aluminium Frame. The design has been kept simple, yet sophisticated. The cameras are placed at the top left corner of the rear side. The front of the device boasts of a beautiful screen with minimalized bezels. The screen to body ratio is 89.9%. The front camera of the device is a punch-hole camera placed at the center of the top part of the device.

The phone is not heavy to hold, but it isn’t very light either, thanks to the glass built for that. The weight balancing of the device has been nicely taken care of, and considering the fact it is a device with a 6.9-inch screen, the device is quite comfortable to hold.

Glass:

The glass used is Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which one of the best-strengthened glass available in the market. That said, the smartphone should not get cracks and scratches very quickly; although the body, especially the rear part of the phone, catches fingerprints immediately, hence use of a cover is recommended.

Display:

Samsung has always shown great innovation in the field of screen technology, and it has nailed it this time also. The smartphone boasts of a 6.29 inches screen with Samsung’s own ‘Dynamic AMOLED’ technology. The screen is two times more capacitive as per the claims by Samsung. The resolution supported is 1440 x 3200, and HDR 10+ is also supported. The smartphone is loaded with 120 Hz at FHD and 60 Hz at QHD. The device has an ‘Always on Display’ which compensates for the absence of notification alert LED.

Performance:

The S20 Ultra 5G is a flagship device from Samsung. So obviously, it has the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It is a 7 nm chipset paired with Adreno650GPU, which is the best of Adreno out there. Therefore, hardware-wise the device is a beast and can run anything you want it to run.

Hence general usage such as calling, social media, and mailing is buttery smooth. Apart from that, the One UI has got many improvements and added AI (Artificial Intelligence) features such, which make increase the convenience of the user. For example, when messages are received, the software automatically recommends a few replies as per the message subject and context.

Hence the user doesn’t have to type anything. But it must be noted that all such features can be used only with the default app. These features can’t come handy if the user prefers third-party apps like ‘Truecaller’ for SMS.

Battery:

The device comes with a vast 5000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. Therefore, battery life is not something to worry about in this. Even with heavy usage, the battery will last more than a whole busy day, all thanks to the super-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and the power-efficient AMOLED screen. With average or regular usage, the device should last more than two days very easily.

The device supports fast charging (which is very obvious for a flagship device from a renowned brand), and a 45 W rapid charger has been provided in the box. The device also supports wireless charging of 15 W. The device also supports reverse wireless charging of 9 W.

Sound:

The sound output of the device is also as per expectations. The device has a dual stereo speaker setup. The sound produced is clear, and volume levels are quite high. The speakers are adequately loud.

However, the device isn’t having any 3.5 mm jack, which is disappointing for many customers as many prefer to use wired headphones and earphones. The Type C port can be used as a headphone jack, and luckily, a Type C earphone is provided in the box with the device.
