Realme is one of the emerging and widely appreciable brands in the Indian mobile market launching various Realme Series in 2020.
Realme is one of the emerging and widely appreciable brand in the Indian mobile market. Initially, it was a subsidiary of the Oppo brand and later got separated from Oppo and started its business independently. SkyLi, the man behind Realme, has a motto to combine both beauty and technology in a single gadget.
Realme in 2018 chosen the Indian smartphone mobile market as a startup base to launch its first product Realme 1. Steadily it expanded its business from Asian to Southeast European markets. As per the latest market analysis, it invests a major share of 14.3% on the Indian smartphone mobile market.
Following are the products launched by Realme:
- Realme2, 2 Pro
- Realme C1, C2, U1
- Realme 3, 3 Pro, 3i
- Realme X series
Me as a smartphone user opted to buy Realme 2 Pro. A 6.3-inch display with a dewdrop notch design, large screen-to-body ratio, sturdy body for a great grip, instant response to touch and budget-friendly are the main aspects of Realme 2 Pro to become an apple of everyone’s eye.
Let’s take a ride into the technical specifications:
Realme 2 Pro has an LCD + HD display (resolution of 2340×1080) of 6.3 inches with the protection of corning gorilla glass 3. The polycarbonate body is designed with a capacitive touchscreen to react for even gentle taps. Night shield feature in Realme 2 Pro lowers the blue light emission to reduce strain on our eyes and even acts as a battery saver.
Performance of mobile is based on the number of instruction cycles processed by a processor. Realme 2 Pro uses chipset of Qualcomm SDM snapdragon 660AIE(1.95 GHz, Quad Core + 1.8 GHz Quad-Core) with octa-core CPU and runs on Android platform 8.1(Oreo) OS. It operates on colour OS 6 which was developed by OPPO. This helps the mobile to perform multitasking without heating up too much. The gaming experience is like a child’s play on Realme 2 Pro. High-end games like PUBG can be played easily on it.
4GB RAM will make mobile capable of handling multitasking without any lag. 64GB internal storage can be expanded to 256 GB via microSD card. This creates plenty of storage space.
It has a non-removable battery 3500mAh capacity. Even though the battery capacity is average, it lasts long due to its processor and supports fast charging.
Realme 2 Pro has dual cameras with front (16MP) and rear (16MP+2MP) end supporting high dynamic range imaging. Realme 2 Pro has A.I (artificial intelligence) camera wherein it helps to take portrait shots. It supports AI facial unlock feature which can scan up to 296 recognition spots.
Realme 2 Pro supports dual 4G nano-SIM cards. We can fix both 3G and 4G SIM in both the slots.
Other notable features:
- Realme 2 Pro enables to connect Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth.
- It has security features like fingerprint sensor and face detection.
- Auto-brightness feature in Realme 2 Pro will help to conserve battery power.
- A micro USB slot has been provided for charging and an audio jack of 35mm.
- Incorporated with sensors like light, proximity, finger touch, accelerometer and gyroscope.
- Realme 2 Pro has launched different variants depending on their storage capabilities:
|Realme 2 Pro 4GB RAM and 64GB storage||₹13,990|
|Realme 2 Pro 6GB RAM and 64GB storage||₹15,990|
|Realme 2 Pro 4GB RAM and 128GB storage||₹17,990|
As we know, each and every particle in the universe has both pros and cons. Here are some missed out features:
- Slow-motion image capturing is not possible.
- The average quality of pictures in low light areas.
- No FM radio.
- The mobile charging slot is not C type.
If you are looking for a value of money option, Realme 2 Pro is a great buy. If you do not need a flagship smartphone experience, Realme 2 Pro ticks all the right checkboxes for an average smartphone user.
